- Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all citations and references.
- Endnotes and references are included within the overall page limit of the manuscript.
Additional Publication Requirements
- The submission must be an original work that is not under consideration by another journal.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, based on the journal template.
- Within the same JISOM issue, an author may not be published in more than two articles, and, if two articles are accepted, the author lists must be different.
- As a general rule, manuscripts should contain a minimum of 10 pages of scientific content (including title, abstract, tables, figures, appendices), excluding the References and Bibliography sections, when formatted using the official JISOM template.
- Manuscripts with a large number of co-authors should demonstrate a level of scientific contribution, complexity, and content proportionate to the size of the author team. As a rule of thumb, the expected content length (excluding References and Bibliography) may be approximated using the following formula: Number of Content Pages = 10 + (Number of Authors − 2) × 3
